A historical two recipe notes from Miss Wilma Koerner of 750 North Third Street dated April 6 1945 and Mrs Alice Pardee of 734 Ark dated January 29 1943 outline a batter with white flour graham flour salt and molasses mixed with milk and a well beaten egg. The wet and dry ingredients are combined and steamed in four greased flour canisters for 1 12 hours or baked at 325 degrees for about one hour.
