Trains Crash in New York Subway Hurts Sixty Five
In a Brooklyn tunnel last night a subway train struck a stalled car in front. Sixty five people were injured, one seriously. Motorman Victor O Brinn, 41, freed the brake and tried to calm panicked passengers as the second train collided. Motorman William Hoke, 46, was trapped for over an hour before rescue crews freed him.

Funeral services for Frank Al den Russell, 77, longtime professor of engineering drawing at the University of Kansas until his 1950 retirement, were held at 3:30 p.m. in First Presbyterian Church. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery. Russell died Wednesday at his home 2020 Oxford Rd. Honorary pallbearers were Bruce Cameron, Charles M. Barker, George J. Hood, C. Jones, Co. G. Bayles, Eugene H.
