Hospital Busy As Student Health Reports High Activity
The university hospital reports a busy year from September 12 to April 1 with 10 005 calls to the hospital since the start of the year. Dispensary calls average 64 per six day week, 55 per seven day week. Vaccinations include 783 boys and 325 girls for smallpox in the first semester, plus 1145 total vaccinations for non students. Typhoid inoculations: 99 boys and 36 girls in the first semester, 5 boys and 7 girls since Jan 1 for a yearly total of 247. The staff conducted 170 arteriological exams and 19 X rays, with 12 major and 20 minor operations. There were 227 bed patients in the hospital across medical surgical and contagious services.
