READY FOR RETIREMENT TOM SLOAN QUITS KANSAS LEGISLATURE
Rep Tom Sloan a Rosas County Republican who has served in the Kansas Legislature for 24 years will not seek re election. In a statement released Sunday night Sloan said he is ready to retire and spend more time with his wife and family. He added that serving in the legislature has been the best job he has ever had and that he has been able to help people and grow as an individual.

County finds proposed petition invalid
