Analysts predict Republicans to seize Senate control in 2016 race
Political analyst Charlie Cook told a Lawrence audience that Republicans appear likely to take command of the U.S. Senate after this year's midterms. He cited six GOP-favoring races where Democrats face tough maps and suggested gubernatorial contests may offer Democrats some gains. He also forecast Hillary Clinton’s 70 percent likelihood of running, Biden stepping aside, and named Rand Paul and Scott Walker as likely presidential and gubernatorial nominees respectively.
