Suspect in Jewish centers shooting tied to white supremacist past

Frazier Glenn Cross, a Kansas City area white supremacist with Ku Klux Klan links and past political runs, opened fire near a Jewish community center and retirement complex. Three people were killed in Overland Park on the eve of Passover. Cross, an Army veteran, is jailed awaiting charges as a federal hate-crime investigation proceeds. The case prompts questions about what triggered the attack and why prevention was not evident.
