The Lawrence Public Library will open at 1 p m on Wednesday so staff can attend the funeral of Olga Longg Stratton Inter Library Loan Coordinator who died Saturday at age 59 Her funeral is at 10 a m Wednesday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church The library at 707 Vt will close at 9 p m Wednesday as usual

Trial ordered in hotel robbery case in Kansas
A Douglas County judge ordered 25 year old Aaron Coates to face aggravated robbery and aggravated assault charges for a March robbery at a Lawrence Days Inn. Prosecutors say Coates and others used a knife to steal about 1500 dollars from 32 year old Mark Lawrence who testified at the preliminary hearing. Coates to be arraigned April 18 before District Judge Michael Malone.
