Quieting at Holy Cross Parish Ends in Court Ruling
In Greensburg Pennsylvania a judge ruled that two Holy Cross Church parishioners Joan Sudwoj and Cynthia Balconi may attend services only with the priest’s permission after two years of loud prayers during the rosary. Cecelia Miscovich agreed to curb her behavior. The court found the group violated church rules and the church’s property rights. The pastor and choir expressed concern that the outbursts drowned out instructions and disturbed services. Church lawyer James Falcon noted the aim was to encourage quieter, brief prayers at Saturday and Sunday services.
