Pakistan seeks repeal of sanctions amid Bhutto US visit
Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto urged lifting sanctions on Pakistan in a Denver meeting with U S Energy Secretary Hazel O Leary and reporters, saying the playing field must be leveled as she campaigns in the United States. The World Bank backed AES Corp with a $50 million loan to build a 362 megawatt plant in Pakistan, to be completed by 1997.
