In Moose Jaw Saskatchewan two planes collided over the northeast industrial section, killing an estimated 30. A Trans Canada Airlines North Star four engine airliner en route from Montreal to Vancouver carried about 27 aboard. A Royal Canadian Air Force Harvard trainer from a local flying school also crashed on a golf course, scattering bodies over a wide area. First reports said 16 bodies were recovered.
