Lawrence native's film debut The Story of Luke opens at Liberty Hall
Lawrence filmmaker Alonso Mayo brings The Story of Luke to 18 cities including a 7 p.m. Liberty Hall premiere. The comedy follows a young man with a high functioning developmental disability as he seeks a girlfriend and a job. Mayo drew on personal experiences and family ties in Lima, Peru, with his mother directing Centro Ann Sullivan del Peru.
