Douglas County Horticultural Meeting and Potatoes King Visit
The Douglas County Horticultural Society met at Edwardsville with delegates from Jackson Jackson Wyandotte and Johnson counties. The tour included Edward Taylor the potato king of Kansas who explained his 30 000 bushels from 160 acres and the warehouse setup while Missouri Valley members attended and shared orchard fruit and floriculture notes. The gathering ended with plans to meet again in October 1887.
