Death of William Barber a Kanwaka Pioneer
William T Barber, a highly respected Kanwaka resident, died at his home seven miles west of the city after a two year illness from consumption. He was born November 10 1840 in Richmond Indiana and moved to Douglas county in 1857. He leaves a wife, his parents, two brothers John and Oliver Jr a sister Mrs J Vincent and a former wife Mary Houston Barber with whom he had twins. Funeral services are set for 10 tomorrow at the family residence in Kanwaka with interment at Oak Hill cemetery.
