A semi annual install of officers for Star Lodge Degree of Honor AOUW occurred Friday at Halcyon hall Massachusetts street. Amelia Eckel officiated with Mrs Gra ham as Past Chief of Honor and a cast of officers including Mrs Bert Rich Mrs Ed Charl ton and Miss Maud Brockelsby among others. A literary program followed with music recitations and songs then a supper and informal dance closed the evening before a large crowd of friends departed.

It features a thirty page index of citizens with occupation and address, a street based household list, 107 general business heads, senators representatives and residence data, plus postmaster and mail details. The book notes minor omissions and typographical errors but calls the volume a credit to the city.

Obituary of Mrs Margery Dyer of Willow Springs township
Mrs Margery Dyer died June 20 at her home in Willow Springs township near Baldwin after heart trouble. She was 77, born July 8, 1843 in Wisconsin, married to Michael Dyer in 1863, and lived on the family homestead in Kansas. Seven children survive. Frances and Winifred at home, Jessie Ella Arthur Valentine and Eliza Reiman elsewhere in Washington. Funeral at Media Catholic church. The item notes her community standing and likeness to a cautious health message and promotes Hood's Sarsaparilla.
