Charles Robinson was born July 21 1818 in Hardwick Worcester county Massachusetts and died at age 76. After two years at Amherst College eye trouble forced a halt to studies. He turned to medicine, first practicing in Hampshire county before moving in 1845 to Springfield to partner with classmate Dr James G Holland. In 1849 the narrative continues.
