Six Divorces Granted by Chancery Court at Ellisville

In Rillsville on January 4 the Chancery Court in the first district at Ellisville granted six divorces. Three were of negroes. One decree dissolved the marriage of J. J. Bradford, a merchant of Ovett, from his wife. After estate matters the court adjourned and Judge Sam Whitman of Bay Springs returned home.

Governor Noel's last legislative message to Mississippi advocates stronger law enforcement. He urges county attorneys in every county, intensified anti trust action, and removal of ambiguities in banking and liquor laws.
