Ellsvile Feb 19 a transient negro prisoner in the care of Marshal Hendricks escaped from the jail serving a short sentence. After an earlier escape the cell door was secured but not locked and the inmate used a wire to open it and flee through a brick wall. A boy confined also escaped but surrendered to the town marshal this morning.
