Jackson Feb 7 The Mississippi Oyster Commission asks the legislature for 15000 to develop reefs between Ocean Springs and Pascagoula. Oysters on some reefs are too small to merchandize. The plan includes raising the tax on oysters to 5 cents per barrel and allowing shell retention. The commission also weighs leasing oyster lands to fishermen to improve beds and curb depredations.
