John W. Quick, a long-time Ellisville resident and member of Masons and Odd Fellows, was fatally struck at the passenger depot crossing by a southbound freight train. The accident occurred around 6:30 pm as he attempted to cross the tracks. despite initial signs of minor injuries, internal damage proved fatal within an hour. He leaves a wife, two sons George and Skillman, and three daughters Tina Quick and Mrs. Clarence Smith and Mrs. Charles Rosenburg. Burial will be in Ellisville with lodge orders ushering the service.
