Laurel Light & Railway Co to Build Corner Office on Oak Street

The Laurel Light & Railway Company bought the Oak and Magnolia corner lot opposite the Commercial Bank and will soon award the contract for a prominent four story office building. Mr. B M Jones, local manager, bought an option weeks earlier and Mrs. Jones paid for the deed. plans show the new structure will be among the citys finest. The small adjacent building project is suspended and the new offices will house the street railway company and multiple tenants with anticipated full occupancy before construction completes.

Four New Faces Set for U S Senate in Arizona New Mexico

Washington April 2 four new senators will join the U S Senate representing Arizona and New Mexico. Marcus Aurelius Smith and Henry Ashurst, both Democrats, will be sworn in this afternoon.
