Couple awarded $50,000 in 1968 rear end collision case
A District Court jury in Judge Charles Thompson's courtroom awarded Laura and Joe Romero $50,000 for injuries from a June 23 accident at West Fremont and 11th Streets. The Romeros said their car was turning into a parking lot when Frank Aultz's Yellow Cab struck from behind. Drake DeLaney for the driver argued the collision occurred as the couple stopped too fast.

Manslaughter Trial Set For Las Vegas Resident
A 21 year old Las Vegas man Nicholas G Young of 2515 San Felipe St was bound over for trial on involuntary manslaughter after a preliminary hearing. The Nov 24 1974 crash on Fremont Expressway near Valley View Blvd killed Darlene Young Richard Young and Marvin Lynn Trotter. Police cited excessive speed over 31 mph in a 25 mph zone amid ongoing expressway construction. Prosecutor Bill Hammer led the case.
