A Prestige Homes spokesman links rapid Las Vegas growth to a defense industry uptick and favorable climate. He notes new residents include visitors who settled, with Mercury area jobs attracting families. Homes sold as ready to occupy packages include refrigerated air, plush carpeting, and full furnishings.
Aerial photography is being adopted by builders and planners in Southern Nevada to improve site and street planning, especially in wooded areas.
