Bulgarian Hijacker Diverts Bulgarian Airliner to Belgrade
A Bulgarian citizen hijacked an Antonov-24 with 49 aboard and forced a flight toward the West. The plane landed at Belgrade Airport after a 95 mile domestic hop while negotiations lasted three hours. All aboard remained unharmed and were kept on the plane before the hijacker surrendered. Police sealed the airport and tarmac during the standoff.

SUN Campership Program Seeks 700 Needy Youths This Summer
The SUN Camp Fund calls for applications from children or guardians seeking financial aid to attend camp.
