Trained elephants from the Zelzah Shrine-Polack Brothers Circus join numerous acts at the Las Vegas Convention Center for three days beginning Friday as the 28th annual Shrine Circus runs. The event coincides with the national Circus Fans Association convention expected to draw thousands for the weekend.

A federal grand jury indicted former Delaware Bank Commissioner John Green on nine counts of extortion bribery and conspiracy for using his office to obtain more than 30000 in personal loans from Farmers Bank of Delaware during his tenure. Two bank officials Danforth and Wales were named as unindicted co conspirators for helping Green secure the loans between 1973 and 1974.
