In Springfield Missouri UPI reports the Assemblies of God Home Missions Department has allocated $30,000 for church property purchases in five U S cities under the Sites for Souls program. Since February 1963 the program has provided $109,000 for 16 projects, with recent allocations funding property in Bay St Louis Mississippi Huntsville Alabama Milford Connecticut Rosemont Minnesota and Wichita Falls Texas.
The county grand jury in Reno continued its probe by calling five staff members and Police Chief Elmer Briscoe. It follows up on an earlier look at Rick Brie tweise r's office, which was criticized for performance but deemed understaffed. One additional lawyer has since joined the staff.

In the 390 Methodist churches of Northern California and Nevada, membership fell slightly to 130 788 for the year ending May 31. The decrease stems from removals of inactive members, while per capita giving rose from 90 to 96 dollars, totaling over 12.5 million dollars.
