Hippie ex broker changes stance on drugs in court

Gridley Wright, once a stockbroker turned hippie high priest, tells Judge Mark Brandler after 18 months in jail that he no longer uses marijuana or promotes drug use. Impressed by his apparent sincerity, the judge orders Wright released on probation despite a prior failed promise to quit drugs. Wright had previously refused to stay away from users.
