Reno Educator Named to Head Nevada Gaming Control Board
Gov. Mike O’Callaghan named Roger S. Trounday, Reno native and longtime head of the state Department of Human Resources, to lead the Nevada Gaming Control Board starting July. Trounday, 43, succeeds Phil Hannifin, who retires due to ill health, and vows to rely on staff while safeguarding gaming industry integrity as Nevada’s economy backbone. He previously ran welfare and health programs and was a Proctor H. High School administrator, with a University of Nevada background.

Police say Latin King gang linked to deadly attack
Police reported the dead men may belong to the Latin King gang. Twenty officers were treated for cuts at St. Mary Hospital, including Lt. Carlo Maggio who will have surgery. City Hall Bomb Explodes in Chicago Parade Day
