District Court Judge Joseph Pavlikowski will rule on the AFT Local 2170 countersuit against the Clark County Classroom Teachers Association, with a decision expected Tuesday or Wednesday after the case was taken under advisement on December 22. The AFT seeks to challenge a provision invalidating teachers’ benefits if the association loses recognition. The association asked to dismiss the complaint pending EMRB review.
Willie Campbell, 55, pleaded guilty to four counts of selling heroin to undercover agents in Clark County District Court. Judge Paul Goldman sentenced him to 20 years with three additional 20 year terms suspended. Campbell sold about eight heroin balloons at $20 each to agents last July.
