Brian Head Resort near Cedar City in southern Utah is set to open with a new double chair lift and amenities for 2300 skiers per hour. The 759 acre site offers intermediate and beginner instruction under George Hartmaier with a plan for further lifts, a warming house, a gondola, a village, and year round tourist appeal. Located 181 miles from Las Vegas, the mountain sits at 11307 feet in the Dixie National Forest with snow typical December to April.
