Chicken Suit Dismissed Against Sanders and KFC
A libel suit filed by a Kentucky franchise outlet against Col. Harland Sanders Kentucky Fried Chicken Corp. and two newspapers was dismissed by Jefferson Circuit Court Judge Thomas A Ballentine. The suit argued Sanders comments libeled the firm by disparaging KFC gravy as wallpaper paste and the crispy chicken as a fried doughball wrapped around chicken. Sanders no longer runs the business except in a PR role.
