Interior Secretary Udall Honors Two Reclamation Engineers
Secretary of the Interior Udall awarded the Distin guished Service Award to Maurice N. Langley and Waud E. Larson at a Dec 11 Washington convocation. Langley, head of the Bureau’s Division of Water and Land Operations on the Commissioner’s Staff in Washington, and Larson, former Regional Project Development Engineer and Assistant Regional Director in Region 3 at Boulder City, are honored for long federal service. Larson helped with Glen Canyon Dam and the Central Utah Project, retiring in April after 38 years. Langley, a Colorado State College graduate, began his federal career in the Agriculture Department and took over his current post in May 1962.
