Dayan says no real danger of Middle East war now
Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Dayan told UPI that full scale warfare in the Middle East is not a real danger as long as the Russians do not provoke it. He said the United States can improve ties with the Arab world without sacrificing its relations with Israel and noted the Arabs would not risk war without a Soviet green light. He described a Nixon meeting as pleasant and reaffirmed US principles and allies. He also hinted that peace could involve significant territorial concessions depending on negotiations.
