Bible Wants Action On International Convention Bureau
Senator Alan Bible says the USTS will act in fiscal 1970 to launch an international convention bureau with an expected spend of 50 000 to 239 000 depending on congressional appropriations. C Langhorn Washburn told a senate subcommittee the bureau would help reduce the deficit between foreign visitor spending and U S expenditures abroad. Bible first proposed the concept in March and gained broad support from lawmakers and convention authorities nationwide.
