The four former members of the City Commissioners approved a across the board raise for 1240 city workers, including 44 police and firemen, costing $1.6 million in the next fiscal year. The police and firemen receive $144 more per month, totaling $940,000 of the package.
Leroy Allen Marsh of Dania Florida was arrested by sheriff detectives at 2 30 pm outside a District Court while facing arraignment on a $30 000 Florida robbery charge. He is also named as a suspect in the March 30 arson slaying of Alphonse Bass and the April 18 pistol killing of Calvin Popejoy during a $500 holdup at Peyton Place tavern. Police report a Negro suspect in custody identified as Noel Harold Frank 45 of 4071 Tara Ave.
