A radiogram from Kangs Bay reports Swedish trimonitored seaplane guided by Commander Thornberg sighting the Nobile party encamped on the Northeast Land ice. The aircraft released parachute attached supplies to aid the explorers.
Las Vegas welcomed Cragin and Pike’s El Portal Theatre with a gala that drew over 700 residents. Mayor J F Hesse praised the project as a sign of city spirit as stars Clara Bow and Doris Hill joined Oscar Kantner in dedicatory ceremonies. The opening program featured organ soloist Melodie Stone and premieres of Paramount titles including Cruising the Arctic and Ladies of the Mob.
The El Portal Theatre uses a new Wurlitzer organ to boost impact of the film program. The Legion of the Condemned’s final showing tonight showcases Melodie Stone’s precise accompaniment enhancing realism beyond the image alone. City commission approved the transfer of the Hawkins Land and Water Company permit, issued December 1921, enabling pipeline and mains extensions in Hawkins Addition. Phyllis Chamberlain, a former UC beauty, married Duffill in 1927 and they have been separated since March. Duffill, a Nevada lawyer, is linked to Los Angeles clubs.

In Soborevo village hospital near Moscow a surgeon and a nurse were jailed for six and three months respectively after a patient died from lysol mistaken for cough medicine. The nurse followed the doctor’s instruction and the court found negligence caused the death.

Mrs C T Gladdon wife of a U S military officer arrived with her daughter last Saturday evening in Las Vegas. She fell ill Sunday morning at a local hotel and was moved to the hospital Tuesday due to worsening health. Mrs Gladden is from Rhode Island and was en route to the coast for Honolulu. nurse A M Minnette attends her.
