Dual Control Driver Training Piloted by AAA Across Ten High Schools
The American Automobile Association sponsored a driver training program using dual control cars to teach high school students road theory and practical driving. Training cars supplied by Pontiac Motors feature right seat dual controls to prevent mishaps. Professors Neyhart and Penn State graduates lead instruction as of five years of development. The first sites span Saugus NC to Spokane WA with streets laid out for realistic practice under police and club supervision.
