Las Vegas Chamber Names Nominating Committee and Officers
The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce tabled its nominating committee report at Tuesday’s meeting proposing a slate of officers and committee chairs for the coming year. Nominations may be filed through January 10 with elections set for January 17. An advisory council of the three most recent past-presidents will assist the new president. Distinguished members listed include Kaltenborn, Knudson, Burns, Luce, Down, Fleming, Griffith and others across various committees.

Ritter Heads Las Vegas Chamber Fund Drive For Publicity
Bob Ritter was appointed head of the committee to raise a $5,000 publicity fund for Las Vegas by the Chamber of Commerce. Collections are planned from wholesalers, retail dealers, hotels and auto courts, and clubs and taverns. Santa Claus town proposed on Route 93 near Kingman
A new town named Santa Claus is planned on U S Highway 93 about sixteen miles from Kingman. Promoter Nina Hudson of Los Angeles and Hollywood backs the project. Joel McCrea and other celebrities are said to have bought land nearby. A post office permit has been issued and a toy factory and related enterprises are hoped for.
