Adam Joseph, a prominent local businessman, died Tuesday night at his Grant street home after a lingering illness. The funeral was held Christmas Eve at 3 30 p m from the residence to the city cemetery under Olive Camp Woodmen of the World with interment in the Woodmen burial ground. Olive Camp W O W and Knights of Pythias members served as pallbearers and attended in large numbers along with other friends.
A joint service at Christ Episcopal Church mourned Mitchell and Maurice Shahady victims of a Sunday poisoning. Revered by many friends, the service featured a vested choir, floral tributes, and a burial at the city cemetery with six pallbearers per casket.
