Capt. G Rowley of the Cheshire Regiment earns a second Bar to the Military Cross after three years at the front. First awarded in September 1917, he reorganized his command and held a line under pressure for two days. A second Bar followed for eleven days of leadership, organizing withdrawals and a counter attack with high casualties inflicted on the enemy.
