Death Toll From Influenza Strikes Landis Resident
George Roberts died from Spanish influenza followed by pneumonia after a long illness. A Landis resident for ten years he was born in England and moved to Manitoba at age eight. His sister Mrs Dales arrived soon after his death and the funeral was held Monday at his sister Mrs Thos Bell’s home with services by Rev T J Williams and Rev L Thomas.

John Lanigan a young farmer from south of Landis died Tuesday night after a seven day illness with pneumonia. He was 27 born in Audubon county Iowa came to this country in 1914 He leaves a wife two children his parents five brothers and two sisters mourning his loss.

Obituary Notice for Rod McLeod of Landis District
Roderick D McLeod a well known young farmer was killed on the night of Wednesday Nov 6. He was born in Glengarry Ontario in 1886 and came west in 1904 farming independently from 1907. He married Edna Gagger in 1911 and is survived by four children, his parents Mr and Mrs K K McLeod, a Manitoba brother, and his brothers and sisters in the Landis district. Funeral held Friday under Landis Masonic Lodge and Springwater Orange Order.
