Birthday surprise honors Hugh Kennedy at Sloan home
On the 12th a surprise party for Hugh Kennedy was hosted at J. S. Sloan’s home to celebrate his birthday. Friends presented him a fine smoking set and the evening featured games and pleasant company. Mr. Guidinger shipped hogs and cattle to Winnipeg last week. A large group gathered at the Magnussens’ depot on the 16th for their silver wedding anniversary and gave a coffee set. Magnussen accepted the gift, expressing thanks before a night of games and dancing.
