Whig Nominations Stir Ohio Campaign Spark

In Fairfield and surrounding counties the Whigs issue a rallying call urging vigorous campaigning to support Whig candidates for governor and Congress. A central message stresses past state finances, bank policy, and canal costs under Whig rule, contrasting with Locofoco policies, and urges voter turnout for a pivotal election. The piece names Col. Conover and other party figures, date-driven appeals, and calls for unity of Whig strength in Columbus and statewide efforts.
