Heifers 750-875 pounds 24.25 to 25.25. Cows Cutter and Utility 14.50 to 16.25. Bulls steady to 50 cents lower.
Market report shows slaughter steers mostly steady to 50 cents lower with high choices at 28 35 to 29 25 for 1050 to 1250 lb cattle. Cows and bulls vary by grade with utilities around 15 to 16 dollars, standard at 23 to 24 50, calves vealers steady with choice vealers at 34 50 to 37 dollars and individual sales up to 38 dollars.
Full cattle sale details show 1100 head with 50 percent slaughter steers 25 percent cows 20 percent feeder steers. Slaughter steers 900-1075 pounds mostly standard to low choice with over 1150 pounds scarce and prices 25 to 50 cents lower. Cows mostly steady. bulls steady to 25 cents lower. Feeder steers opened steady to 50 cents higher with later trading steady. Prices include Choice 950-1200 pounds 26.75 to 27.85, few High Choice 28.00 to 28.75, Good 24.00 to 26.25, Standard 22.50 to 24.50, Utility 19.50 to 22.00.
Cattle receipts total 25 900, down from 28 000 last week and 25 000 a year ago. Twelve market receipts 206 400, below 217 600 and 217 800 year prior. Slaughter steers 25 percent lower than last week, declines mainly on High Choice and Prime. Heifers 50 to 1.00 lower, declines on Choice and Prime. Cows steady to 50 lower, bulls closed fully.
