York youth Jeff Keeney wins major horticulture award
Jeff Keeney a York sophomore at Penn State York Campus majoring in horticulture plans to transfer to main campus in November. He started in horticulture at York County Vo-tech and saved to buy a greenhouse from a bargain at the Philadelphia Flower Show. His collection includes 45 African violets shown at York Fair and his FFA roles included vice president and county treasurer. He won first place at FFA State Days in ornamental horticulture two years ago.
