Farm Trends Feed Prices Move Down and Policy Plans
Carroll G. Brunthaver told PennAg conventioneers the administration plans to sell about 20 billion dollars in feed grains overseas this year with a billion bushels of wheat at about 4 dollars a bushel and corn at about 3 dollars. He noted record crops could keep domestic prices from rising and cited soybean futures slumping from recent highs. The admin plans priority fuel for farmers if supplies tighten and REAP is being reinstated to fund conservation projects with limits to prevent production-only measures.
