Don Timmons reports Plain & Fancy Egg Ranch backs an initial half million dollar investment to build 250000 cage layers. The Lancaster County operation plans first 60000 level cages by July 1967 with a focus on rapid distribution within 24 hours of production. Paul L. Ballots cast for ASCS community committeemen by 972 of Lancaster County's 8000 eligible farmer voters were tabulated Thursday at the county Agricultural Stabilization Conservation office. The chairman, vice chairman and regular member of each of the 16 committees will serve as delegates to the County ASCS convention on Friday September 9 at 8 pm.

DHIA Board Acts on 3 Tester Proposals
Duemors of the Red Rose Dairy Herd Improvement Association approved two tester proposals and rejected another at their regular quarterly meeting at the Farmredit Office in Lancaster. The board increased the maximum per herd multometer handling charge from 3 to 4 dollars, left individual tester charges to their discretion, and approved an annual joint meeting of testers and directors. A third supervisor recommendation to purchase two more milli-ometer units was turned down.
