Roger Grout, Penn State Specialist, told area DHIA supervisors and county agents at the Southeast Pa Conference that cow comfort is fundamental in barn systems and that efficiency in milk production is also essential. Mechanization and gutter cleaners save labor, and single story barns are used where silage dominates the diet.
