Community soup project continues at nearby grove
The Friendly Animal grove hosts annual soup sales in April and October to fund a new 8 foot cook house addition and bandstand repairs. Producers Richard Warner and Rube Shelly prepare 300 gallons from 900 pounds of chicken and 37 dozen eggs, selling out in four hours. The site hosts reunions, services, picnics, and rentals, with all work donated.
