Feed Cost Outlook At Dairy Awards Luncheon
Dr. Thomas Culton told dairymen at Pennfield Corp second annual dairy awards luncheon that if farmers fulfill planting intentions for the season feed prices should fall by harvest. He cited incentives lifting corn and soybean plantings, but warned weather mud, seed shortages, and other factors could hurt yields. Awards honored Pennfield fed cows with 1972 records, plus new herd-average increase awards and individual high cow awards across multiple farms and states.
