New Type Egg Gathering Nests Demonstrated in Lebanon County
A New York State Poultry Tour visited the Kreider farm near Schaefferstown to see the German made Farmer Automatic egg gathering system. The 368 by 40 foot house houses 11 500 birds and moves the litter with eggs around the house to collect eggs while hens nest normally. The tour also included several Lancaster and Lebanon County farms and agricultural sites.
